PERFECT HARVEST MOON

The full moon viewed in the NISHIOGI residential area at around half past eight in the evening on September 21, 2021.
It was the first time in eight years that the harvest moon and the perfect full moon fell on the same day.
In Japan, people have a custom to enjoy the moon-viewing this evening, decorating pampas grasses and offering dumplings and sake to the moon. 

中秋の満月
2021年9月21日夜8時半頃、西荻南地区住宅街で見た満月。
本年は、8年ぶりに「中秋の名月」と「満月」が同じ日に重なった。
日本では、この夜、ススキを飾り、お酒と団子を供えて月見を楽しむ風習がある。
