2024年9月15日（日）、西荻南口仲通り商店会主催の秋祭りが行われ、西荻の非公式マスコットの「ピンクの象」が、1年ぶりに降ろされました。
ピンクのタスキをつけた120人の子どもたちが、「わっしょい、わっしょい！」の掛け声をかけながら、住まいの仲通りアーケード街をはじめ町内を巡りました。今回は、熱中症を避けるため、例年の道程の半分ほどの距離を引き、西荻南児童公園でお土産をもらって“花ぞうさん”たちとお別れしました。
