Write your wish to Santa and decorate the fir tree for your birthday month!
The event called “Winter Fir Tree Walk” (2024.12.1-2025.1.13) is on now, organized by the NISHIOGI shopping association” Heiwa-Dori-kai”, located along the south side of the JR Chuo Line tracks.
In this event, while out for a walk or shopping, people write their wishes to Santa on ornaments and decorate them freely on the fir tree of their birth month, which is set on a wooden cuboid bench with the number of each month displayed on it.
While many decorations are meant to wish for family happiness, there are also ornaments that pray for world peace.
西荻よりメリークリスマス！2024
サンタさんへのお願いごとを書いて誕生月のモミの木に飾り付けましょう！
JR中央線の南側線路沿いにある、西荻の商店会「平和通リ会」主催のイベント「冬のモミの木さんぽ」（2024.12.1-2025.1.13）が開催中です。
この催しは、散歩や買い物の途中、オーナメントにサンタさんへのお願いを書いて、各月の数字を表示した直方体の木製ベンチにセットされた自分の誕生月のモミの木に自由に飾りつけをするというものです。
家族の幸せを願う飾りつけが多い中に、世界平和を祈るオーナメントもあります。
