The NISHIOGI Summer Festival was held with so many citizens that the park overflowed.
The Bon Odori Festival organized by NISHIOGI Ichibangai Shopping Association held at NISHIOGI Kita Chuo Park on the night of August 8th (19:00-21:00), after having been cancelled due to a severe thunderstorm on the 7th.
Many parents and children gathered together and danced lively in a large circle to songs such as “Tokyo Ondo”, “Suginami Ondo” and “Hanagasa Ondo”, as if to vent their frustration over the cancellation; foreign people in yukata joined in the dancing. “Wata ame” or cotton candy was also very popular.
西荻の夏祭り2024
西荻夏祭りが、公園から溢れるほど多くの市民の参加のもと開催されました。
西荻一番街商店会主催の「納涼盆踊り大会」が、8月7日の猛烈な雷雨による中止の翌日、8日夜（19:00-21:00）、西荻北中央公園で開催されました。
多数の親子連れが集い、雷雨による中止でたまったうっぷんを晴らすかのように、「東京音頭」、「杉並音頭」、「花笠音頭」などの曲に合わせ、浴衣姿の外国の人も加わり大きな輪になって元気よく踊られました。また、「わたあめ」も大人気でした。
