SPOOKY HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS

As night fell, frightening figures appeared.

Here are gourd Halloween decorations hanging in front of a private house in the northwestern part of NISHIOGI. 

According to the owner of the house, these gourds are home-grown and real, harvested 2-3 years ago, the insides were removed and dried, then the surfaces were painted brown, and he carved them with his own thoughts.

不気味なハロウィン飾り

夜のとばりが降りる頃、怖い姿があらわれました。

西荻北西地区の民家前に吊るされている、ヒョウタンのハロウィン飾り。

この家のご主人によれば、これらのヒョウタンは自家栽培の実物で、2～3年前に収穫したものの中身を取り除いて乾燥させ、その後、表面に褐色の色を塗り、これらに自らの思いを込めて彫りました、とのことです。
