Here are works that are conscious of the connections between things and use illustrations to open up a new world of Japanese painting.
An exhibition titled “Days Kawashima Nana Exhibition” (2024.7.31-8.25) is on now in a gallery (“Yorokobito”) near the south exit of JR NISHIOGIKUBO Station.
The artist won the grand prize at the 2023” First Yorokobito Open Exhibition—Life Art Award”, which placed emphasis on “everydayness” as a judging criterion. Her wish is,” I hope that people will enjoy looking at my paintings and feel as if they are something new, even though they are right in front of their eyes.”

審査基準として「日常性」を重視した、当ギャラリー初の公募企画である、2023年の「第1回ヨロコビto公募展―ライフアートアワード」で大賞を受賞した作家の願いは、「目の前にあるのになんだか別のものに思える感覚を楽しんで絵を見ていただければ嬉しいです。」というものです。
