The girl also chose to do an indoor study for her summer vacation homework, attempting to make a "Japanese long-tailed tit" using glass and special tape.
Meanwhile, outside, a food truck was exhibiting for the first time, selling also a variety of "Kakigori" or shaved ice (400 yen each).
2025年8月西荻手しごと市
「暑さに負けず」を念頭に置いた商品・サービスも販売されていました。
2025年8月24日（日）、井荻會舘で開催された「西荻手しごと市」。
例えばこの食器。出展者から「この土鍋の食器（しょっき）で鍋料理を作り、暑気（しょき）払いをされてはいかがでしょうか？」とのユーモラスなコメントがありました。
また、この女の子は、夏休みの宿題の自由研究として、屋内での研究を選び、ガラスと特殊なテープを使って「シマエナガ」の作製に挑戦していました。
一方、屋外では、キッチンカーが初出展し、いろいろな「かき氷（各400円）」も販売していました。
