BRIGHT ORANGE FLOWERS

This plant has voluminous, vibrant orange flowers.
A potted “Kurossandora” or Crossandra in the grounds of "Jikoji Temple", a Nichiren sect temple in the southeastern part of NISHIOGI. It is a shrub originated in tropical Africa. The plant is said to have been introduced to Japan in 1912.
The contrast between the flower's appearance, which resembles outstretched hands, and horsetail-shaped green projection in the middle is striking. 
Incidentally, the flower language of the flowers is, for example, “elegance.”

鮮やかなオレンジ色の花
ボリューム感たっぷりの鮮やかなオレンジ色の花です。
西荻の南東地区にある日蓮宗・慈宏寺境内に鉢植えされている「クロッサンドラ」。熱帯アフリカ原産の低木。日本には1912年に渡来したと言われます。
両手を広げたような花姿と、真ん中のつくしの形をしたような緑色の突起の対比が目立ちます。
因みに、この花の花言葉は、例えば「優美」。
