“Kadomatsu” or New Year decorations set up in front of Kasuga Shrine and a Japanese restaurant in NISHIOGI.
Kadomatsu consists of pine branches, three bamboo sticks and plum sprays. The pine tree in particular is a symbol of longevity and is said to be the place where the gods descend.

西荻の春日神社および和食店の前に設置された「門松」です。松・竹・梅で構成され、とくに松は長寿の象徴で、神様が降り立つところといわれます。
