FLOWERS THAT ATTRACT BUTTERFLIES

It found an attractive sucking flower.

An “Oomonshirochou” or literally large-crested white butterfly sucks nectar from the flowers of “Shukkon Baabena” or the perennial verbena planted in the flowerbed of Shouan Umebayashi Park in NISHIOGI.

It is said that cabbage butterflies prefer flowers that have a lot of nectar and are shaped to make it easy for them to absorb nectar, so verbena flowers with dense florets seem to be the ideal flower.

蝶を呼ぶ花

魅力的な吸密の花を見つけました。

西荻の松庵梅林公園の花壇に植栽されている「宿根バーベナ」の花の蜜を吸う「オオモンシロチョウ（大紋白蝶）」。

モンシロチョウは、蜜が多く、蜜を吸いやすい形をした花を好むそうで、こうした小花の密集したバーベナの花はまさに理想的な花のようです。
